Onboard Chef, Rodrigo Sciffaldi, with a rich career spanning over twenty years, brings passion and skill to create culinary delights from the rich array of produce found locally in the Balearics.

Supported by experienced deckhand/crew member, Andreas and yacht attendant, Daria, PLAY THE GAME with its vastly experienced fun team delivers an exceptional charter experience.

  • CARLOS MAGLIOCCA - CAPTAIN

    With over 7,300 days of certified sea time and a maritime career spanning three decades, Captain Carlos Magliocca brings unparalleled experience and calm authority to PLAY THE GAME. A former Commander in the Uruguayan Navy, Carlos has captained everything from naval vessels and high-speed ferries to luxury private and charter yachts.


    Since 2022, he has successfully led three Mediterranean charter seasons aboard PLAY THE GAME, consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences. Known for his precise handling and leadership under pressure, Carlos has navigated globally—from the icy waters of Antarctica to the vibrant coasts of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific, and beyond.


    Carlos holds a Master Unlimited licence, Yachtmaster CE (RYA), and extensive IMO STCW certifications. His multilingual communication skills, discreet professionalism and warm leadership style make him a trusted presence onboard. When not at sea, Carlos enjoys cultivating his vineyard in Colonia del Sacramento and studying stoic philosophy.

    Chef Rodrigo Scaffidi brings over 20 years of culinary expertise to PLAY THE GAME, shaped by a rich career spanning restaurants, private estates and high-end events across Argentina, Andorra and Ibiza.


    Born in Mendoza, Argentina’s renowned gastronomic capital, Rodrigo trained in culinary arts and built a reputation for excellence in Argentine regional cuisine, open-fire cooking, and creative fusion dishes. His specialties include woodfire grilling, sushi, and refined outdoor dining experiences—perfectly tailored to the Mediterranean yachting lifestyle.


    Rodrigo has previously served in elite kitchens and as a private chef for discerning clientele, as well as being Chef de Partie at top-level establishments in Ibiza. His versatile skills, discretion, and artistic presentation ensure every meal aboard PLAY THE GAME is a bespoke culinary journey.

  • ANDRES GALEANO - DECK CREW

    With a strong background in both deck and engine room operations, Andres Galeano brings a highly motivated and adaptable energy to PLAY THE GAME. A former Lead Seaman in the Spanish Navy, Andres combines discipline and technical skill with a hands-on approach to all aspects of deck duties.


    He holds a comprehensive set of maritime certifications including MCA Efficient Deckhand, Approved Engine Course, Powerboat & RIB Master, and STCW-compliant training in watchkeeping, security duties, and passenger management. His experience spans tugboats in Hong Kong, offshore deliveries in Spain, and tall ship sailing around the world aboard the J.S. Elcano.


    Andres is a team player with a strong work ethic and a future goal of becoming an officer. Whether assisting with tender operations, line handling or technical maintenance, his reliability and positive spirit make him an integral part of the crew.
